These data sources will detect the last time a user logged into their applications. In doing so, you'll be able to detect unused seats and reduce your subscription costs.

Browser extension

Ask your employees to install the LicenceOne extension on their browser. Any time that they use a business application in their browser, we'll track the date of that activity.

Oh, and don't worry—LicenceOne will only ever track business applications.

How do I remove an application from LicenceOne?

Untrack an application

Best used for situations where your company **does **use an application but you don't think it's important to monitor (for example, it's free and you don't think it presents a data governance risk).

This option will filter the application from your interface and stop all notifications related to the application being sent. The data related to the untracked application (manager, team, spend, login activity etc.) will not be deleted. You can easily access them all when you re-track the application.

Delete an application

Best used for situations where:

Your company previously used the application but has now stopped
You don't consider it a business application and want to alert the LicenceOne team
LicenceOne has made a mistake in identifying the application, and you want to alert the LicenceOne team

This option will delete the application from your interface, stop all related notifications, and delete all the data (manager, team, spend, login activity etc.) linked to the application.

Can an application be tracked again or undeleted?

If you have untracked an application, the only way to track it again is to change the tracking toggle on the application page. To find a list of your untracked applications, head to the Applications sect

What is a LicenceOne demonstration account?

All new users of LicenceOne start with a demonstration account with example data that they can play around with (i.e. fake, not real, dummy).

This helps everyone understand what our platform can do without having to set everything up with their real data sources.

If you want to start analysing your own data straight away, that's not a problem! Just click the "click here" text on the top bar, confirm that you'd like to switch, then add the data sources to LicenceOne that you'd like us to analyse.

Can I switch back to a demonstration account once I have switched to a live account?

Unfortunately not. Once you have switched from a demonstration account to live account, there is no going back.

Why are some actions and features blocked on my account?

We block some features on demonstration accounts (e.g. invite a user, modify team names, add data source) as we don't want users to get confused between a "demonstration account" and a "live account".

If you want to add real information to LicenceOne, not a problem. You just need to switch to a "live account" with real data.

Does it cost more money to switch to a live account with real data?

No. To be more specific, either:

You have already paid for a LicenceOne subscription before switching to a live account (e.g. you're a Sumo-ling ) -> You don't need to pay any extra to move to a live account
You have no

What does LicenceOne do with my banking data?

Please know that we've honestly tried our best to simplify the following article; however, in the interest of transparency, we wanted to go into a little more detail than usual.

How does LicenceOne connect to my bank?

At LicenceOne we decided to leave bank integrations to the tried, tested, and certified experts: BridgeAPI, Plaid and Nordigen. When you add your bank as a data source, you will be redirected to our integration partner's interface to link your bank account and authorize LicenceOne access to the transaction data that our integration partner safely recuperated.

How does LicenceOne analyse my transactions?

LicenceOne sends a request to our banking integration partners asking them to provide us with your bank transactions via an encrypted connection.
Once received, our algorithm compares each transaction against our database of applications that we can detect.
If a transaction matches an application in our database, we add it to your LicenceOne account and track it.
Our bank integration partners automatically categorize transactions for us. If they categorize a transaction as something like "software", we add it to a queue for a LicenceOne employee to double-check and verify if it's a software subscription
If the LicenceOne employee verifies that it's a software subscription, we add it to your LicenceOne account and track it.
If a transaction doesn't match an application in our database and/or is rejected by a LicenceOne employee, we d
